PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS

Helping Educators Support Neurodiverse Students — and Teach Every Student to Understand the Differences
BOOK A SESSION
After speaking at hundreds of schools nationwide, I’ve seen firsthand how much educators want to support neurodiverse students—but often don’t get training from someone who has lived that experience.

My professional development keynote session brings together my personal story, what I’ve learned from students across the country, and practical strategies teachers can use right away.

Supporting Neurodiverse Students in Today’s Classrooms (Virtual PD Session)

I offer a 90-minute live Zoom professional development session for teachers, administrators, and school staff focused on practical ways to better support neurodiverse students.
During this interactive session, I combine live illustration, storytelling, and classroom strategies to help educators understand what neurodiverse students experience in school—and how small shifts in communication, expectations, and classroom culture can make a meaningful difference.
Drawing from my own experiences as a struggling neurodiverse student, as well as lessons learned during 400+ school visits across the United States, I share real stories from classrooms and practical insights teachers can immediately apply.
In this session educators will learn:
    - How neurodiverse students often experience school differently from their peers
    - Simple strategies that help neurodiverse students feel understood and supported
    - Ways to build classroom environments where different learning styles are respected
    - How to help neurotypical students understand and appreciate neurological differences
    - Approaches for talking about neurodiversity with students in a positive and inclusive way The session also includes time for     Q&A, allowing educators to ask questions and discuss challenges they’re seeing in their own classrooms.

Format
    - 90-minute live Zoom presentation

    - Interactive storytelling and live drawing
